Pulling motor

So I blew my motor and have to pull the motor out. I've never pulled a motor so I tried to find a book for help and the search. The only books that I found are online. Are there any hardcopies for this car or if someone could point me in the right direction that would be very helpful.

well to be honest there is no real "factory diy" book like "haynes manual"
ive already looked all over the net. amazon every were. nothin

there`s an online one that has been refered to on these bords.. it`s the one i use all the time.. search these.. i once asked about it.

there is no chiltons or haynes for the pro....i've emailed both companies and they both gave me the same bs replay about there not being enough of our cars on the road for a profitable publiication.....yeah total bs......

i know there is the factory manual under the p5 forum and the engine would be the same so ya might give that a try

so it would seem... i guess I just assumed there was one... there was one for my isuzu impulse, and I would say that there were at least as many proteges made as geo storms/impulses... but hey.. least theres an electronic version.

I was also stuned that I could not find one from Hanes.. I looked EVERYWHERE! To this day I find it odd.. I have one for every other vehicle i own, owned and that my sister owns.. hahaha

But that service manual in the link is pretty much it. I dont know where it`s from exactly.. but it has everything you need (but no nice pictures like the hanes.. just drawings)

Maybe there aren't any left, but Haynes did make a manual for our cars. They say it only goes up to the 2000 protege, but a lot of the stuff in there is the same. The bodies are practically identical and almost everything on the outside of the motor is the same too. I've had mine for probably 4-5 years now, but it was out there at one point.

ya, but it would be nice to have one for our cars through 03 (the similarities you speak of is probably the reason why they didn't bother)
