Here they are!

Well I've been too busy driving around and showing it off. Sorry for the bad quality, and the lack of originality, but this is going to have to do for now.

As for my impressions; well I'm no critic and I don't really know the words to describe it, so I'll do my best. In short, I love the Mazda 3. It handles very nicely in the twisties and in the corners. It's quite comfortable and the noise is rather minimal if you ask me. Shifting through the gears is very smooth; the shifter is positioned perfectly, as are the rest of the controls. The seats offer good lumbar support, the rear seats are pretty comfortable, and there is plenty of leg room throughout. The stereo sounds great for a stock system too.

What do you guys want to know exactly? I'll tell you what it's like.

Hey Dre, If it is still possible, you might want to try to get one of your pics in the future calander thread. Your pics are great!!!

That's not 'bad quality' - those pics are awesome!

And since you definitely know how to take pictures (unlike me), can you take some pics of the electroluminescent gauges (ignition off, ignition off door open, ignition on daytime, and ignition on nighttime).

Also, are you getting winter tires? If not, over the next few months, let us know how the Goodyear Eagle's handle in the snow.

nice pics..how about some more...maybe without the flashy angles so we really see this car....a rear one would be nice and some interior

more review about the handling and the power !! :)
you got the GT? GX? GS?

The handling is superb! I was driving down one of my favorite twisty roads last night as I normally would with my old Civic or with my GSX-R600. I take this road all the time when I just want to go for a quick little spin around the block, so to speak. I was rolling at a very comfortable 100km/h on this 60km/h road, and I wasn't even pushing it. I didn't even feel like I was trying; it just hugs the corners and the steering is very smooth and responsive. Clearly this isn't a sports car, but it handles quite remarkably. Compared to my Civic, there is hardly any body roll. I've driven some Corvettes (C5 and Z06), as well as many other sport cars. I've also driven plenty of other different class of vehicles, and I must say that I am very impressed with the 3.

As for power, it is very smooth and linear right up until you hit about 4500RPM. At this point you can feel the extra bit of top-end power pulling you away. Driving on the highway at a steady 100km/h in 5th gear, the engine is reving at 2,750RPM. As mentioned above, it's clearly not a high performance machine, but there is plenty or power available to passing and it's always smooth. Even leaving it in 5th and stomping on it will get you going.

It's a GT GFX 5-Speed.

Cool. I'll keep that in mind. I was in a bit of a hurry when I snapped these pics. Next time I'll try to get some better shots. I want some daytime pictures too do people can see some details.

yeah, nice pics. Congrats on being # 1 too

Thanks. I don't know that I'm #1 but I do know that I have the only Black Sedan GT GFX 5-Speed in the Ottawa region! In fact, I'm one of 3 5-Speed GT GFX sedans (all different colors); the rest are all base models and automatic. :D

Thanks for the compliment!

This weekend I'll make sure to snap a bunch of pics for everybody. I need some daytime shots.

I was going to get some winter tires because I like my old Michelin Alpines, but I'm still debating. I think what I'll do is stick with the Eagles for a while and see how they work, and I'll go from there. I'll keep you posted.

No problem Sparky ;) I was just a little excited and I wanted to drive. Next photo shoot, I'll get some more conventional shots and I'll be sure to include some pictures of the engine bay and all of the other details.

Wow, I'm very impressed. The car sounds really nice.

Way to go on your purchase!! Bring others here with you :D

That car is so sexy

I want one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mazda 3 Will You Marry Me :) LMAO

Hey Dre,

Nice ride! I'm on the edge of buying (pending dealer receiving some and getting to do a test drive of course).

Was your 23k price all-in? Or is that before all the goodies like taxes etc? Final price?

23k = doable. 27-28k = a little more sweaty :)

to each his own.

IMO, the old PRO and P5 look really old compared to the 3. The 3 looks like a 50 G car and handles like one. The 3 is definitely way better than anything in its class, including the old Protege.

When you're driving in a P5 and the 3 pulls up beside you, you'll know whats up.

I hate to be the bubble burster, but i've seen the 3 in real life, at least the wagon, and I know its got more power or whatever, but I think it's just ugly. I can't believe they're getting rid of the p5 right when it's started to take off. I just don't like it. I mean congrats on your new cars guys. I hope they bring you as much happiness as my P5 has brought me. I just personally don't like them at all.

Hahaha, so much Denial in this forum..

so much "omg Mz3 is so ugly!"

Most people don't want to admit their ride is inferior, so they diss.
Other than the questionable area of looks, the mz3 is superior in everyway.

Overall, mz3 is a much better car.
