Protege03ak46's Build Thread

I used a pry bar and a couple bolts to hold the flywheel with one hand and spun them off using a breaker bar with the other hand. Now I just cant get enough leverage by my self to torque it back on. Im done for the day.

I've changed the clutches in 2 cobalts, I want to have mine changed but 2 clutches in 2 months was enough for one year. I found out I have the innate ability to be a human jack by supporting a transmission on my chest though. For the second one to save time my friend and I left the axles right in the diff, it's a pain to get them set right again.

I have to ask though, if you're going through the time and hassle of changing your clutch, why wouldn't you at least go to a 2 or 2+?

Its staying NA. theres no point in getting a clutch that grabs harder than it needs to. Even if i did boost, this clutch would hold up just fine.

Good enough, I personally like to overcompensate lol. So by you saying that you worked 9 hours without getting the clutch changed, I'm guessing the sub frame and mounting bolts are a b**** to get off? Were you working by yourself as well?

My friend was helping me out. Its all back together, Im waiting till monday to get some Redline gear oil

Right on, keep up the good work man, you stance guys are actually getting me thinking on bringing my truck back from near death.

Clutch is complete. Im in love so far. Definitely one of the most worth wile mods to date.

In other news ive found some winter wheels. 15X8 diamond racing wheels. Stay tuned....

the offset is +0 and the tires are 195/55. There taller over all compared to my 16s. It will be raised a bit, but definitely still slammed status.

Ive been debating for months, Finally bit the bullet on the final piece i need to complete the exterior (Minus new wheels and such)

Very nice.. I had been planning a cf one but since chaser has been ******* over CR members for awhile, I decided to go with Shine Auto's.. looks identical and is cheaper for cf, as well as local :D

You should change the "black and slammed" vinyl to "slammed from the back" after you put on that diffuser lol. Saw a similar setup the other day on a 1st gen miata that looked good.
