I used a pry bar and a couple bolts to hold the flywheel with one hand and spun them off using a breaker bar with the other hand. Now I just cant get enough leverage by my self to torque it back on. Im done for the day.
I've changed the clutches in 2 cobalts, I want to have mine changed but 2 clutches in 2 months was enough for one year. I found out I have the innate ability to be a human jack by supporting a transmission on my chest though. For the second one to save time my friend and I left the axles right in the diff, it's a pain to get them set right again.
I have to ask though, if you're going through the time and hassle of changing your clutch, why wouldn't you at least go to a 2 or 2+?
Good enough, I personally like to overcompensate lol. So by you saying that you worked 9 hours without getting the clutch changed, I'm guessing the sub frame and mounting bolts are a b**** to get off? Were you working by yourself as well?
Very nice.. I had been planning a cf one but since chaser has been ******* over CR members for awhile, I decided to go with Shine Auto's.. looks identical and is cheaper for cf, as well as local
You should change the "black and slammed" vinyl to "slammed from the back" after you put on that diffuser lol. Saw a similar setup the other day on a 1st gen miata that looked good.
