Pump, hoses and fluid probably 5 or 6 pounds. The reason most people who do remove the PS do it for the reduction of drag on the engine more than the weight. On a roadcourse you are turning a lot at the same time you are trying to accellerate which means the drag from the pump is hurting a lot more than just the standard loss you would see at idle. I haven't tried it without PS yet to know how it feels. My car won't see the road any more so I will probably do some more weight reduction this winter and the PS may be one of the things I try.any idea how much power steering removal would weigh?
