Protege.....Girl car?

i remember a couple of years ago right before i purchased my car reading a article in a mag how mazda was marketing the protege sedans to the female gender.
and the protege 5 to young males under the age of 30.
but i have thought that to be crap, because mostly old men drive proteges and young and middle age women with kids drive the 5 around here? yet on this site 99% 5's are own by men???

I see women drive anything..vettes, porsches, stangs, camaros, trans ams, big trucks small trucks is there some kinda law aganist a woman driving a certain car. Guys just want to have an image that they drive a "tough car" so a woman will decrease that image and its just gay

I think a lot of japanese cars are chick cars. The eclispe, celica, civic, protege. I see a lot of girls driving them. But then again I see a lot of guys too.

Does it really matter? In all honesty I think it just appeals to a lot of different people and thats why you see a wide range of drivers.

My 5 is a manual... infact, all 3 cars i've had in the past have all been 5 speeds. I'd never even consider an automatic because they aren't nearly as much fun.
