I was just wondering if anyone new off hand if the mounts are interchangeable for the regular protege 2.0 and the protege 5?
I found a decent deal on "Protege" mounts for a 2.0, but I'm not sure if they will fit my 5.

Thanks,
J

Yes.

Mounts for an auto are another story but as long as they are for a manual 2.0 you are good to go. I believe the rear, front and driver are different on an auto but someone correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks! Unfortunately my pr5 has a slush box attached to the motor.
But the auto regular protege and the auto protege 5 mounts should be interchangeable, Correct?

Thanks again!

the only mount that diff is the auto and manual mount that bolts onto the top of the trans due to dif lengths in transmissions

I kind of had it backwards up top but......

It's been almost two months but to clarify it for people, all three engine mounts meaning front, rear and front right (passenger side) are the same on all 2.0's excluding the transmission mount ( driver side ) due to Auto or Manual. I don't really think length mattered but only the extra brackets for the manual mounts only. Also checking clearance on the mounts matters as well food for thought.

Per Rock Auto:

Front, Rear, and Front Right all fit years:

1999-2003 Protege
2002-2003 Protege5

I even searched through 1999 in the 1.6 and 1.8 and did find the same part numbers to include others as well so take it as you will. For now I know they will fit all 2.0 for sure though.

Here is the difference in the Trans Mount:
