Protege 5 parts needed

I'm looking for the following stock parts for a 2002 Protege 5 (5 speed manual with 2.0L)

1. Air cleaner assembly - everything from the intake manifold forward less the air sensor.
2. Exhaust manifold/converter from the head to the exhaust system including converter(s) and heat shield.
3. Engine controller

Does anyone have any of these for sale?

welcome to the boards!

check the For Sale Section (towards the bottom on forum index). you can start a WTB (Want to buy) thread there, too.

Again, welcome. Enjoy your time here.

I've got the stock exhaust manifold and maybe a pre-cat, but shipping will be expensive on something that heavy. Where are you located?

ahh, bummer... did you buy it from someone in your area? Legally, I don't think they could have sold you the car if they removed emissions equipment - big fine! (that's the way it is in my state anyhow).

Also, why do you need the ECU?

No. Just purchased the car, but it will not pass the emission test.

Bought the car in Florida. The car runs great (very strong).
The emission station could not communicate with the ECU, and I can not hook up to it with my scan tool to get any sensor data as well. Also, the "SIL" light does not come on during start up. I think someone might have done some type of re-programming to the ECU.

i think what he is trying to say is that, even though he bought the car in FL, he is going to register here in Ohio. some counties have this bloody e-check program..
thankfully, my county doesn't..both cats coming off next week. ;-)

Too bad you didn't need it so soon. A friend of mine is moving back to Bosie in a few months and he has the old stock air intake.

I love being in AZ I have no emissions.

There isn't much you can do to our ECU's they are a version of the EEK5 and are a POS. There are some that pigggy back onto our ECU but you would have extra wires coming from the ECU under the floor on the right side under the dash.

I have changed out my ECU with one from a 2001 MP3. Auto Zone has always been able to get the OBDII to read my car.

Well good luck
