I just installed a Wagner FMIC on my speed with a Greddy Type S BOV. Now its shooting oil out of the top side of the turbo. Why?? No other mods except exhaust.

Bump. More details? Pictures maybe?

Sorry, no pics on this one! When i am driving you can hear it spool up and when it releases the pressure the top half of the connector gushes oil out! It also dumps a cloud of smoke out. So any help possible would be great, cause the only thing that has changed is the fact that i have a fmic!!

Damn...doesn't sound good at all! Could you have bent an oil line going to the turbo maybe when you did the install?

Yeah I would be interested to see just how a passive air cooling device blew a turbo. Maybe you pulled the oil line?

Well i will be up first thing in the morning looking through the engine and turbo area to make sure it isnt an oil line, but oil is all around the top of the connector that connects the pipe to the turbo, i havent checked the pipe with the filter on it. I have checked other hoses and there is no oil in the small vaccum hoses from the blow off valve. I was told it could be a bearing in the turbo but hoping for something simple so i dont have to pull it all back off!!!

Hmm, I agree with the other guys, sounds like the turbo has taken a s*** or you accidently damages soemthing during the install.

is oil gushing out around your IC pipe at the turbo or is it comming out right around the oil feed on the turbo itself?

Im thinking blown turbo or loose oil fitting like others said. Unless you drive the s*** out of your car im guessing loose oil feed line.

Did wagner install it or did you?

sounds like either a blown turbo, or a loose oil line. This wagner kit is causing all kinds of issues.
And just remember...YOU STARTED IT ALL!

i have had the same problem when i first installed my fmic. i had a bad leak and that caused the turbo to spool like crazy trying to keep up and allowed oil to blow through the turbo really bad. i took it all apart and cleaned everything good and reinstalled it also i did a intake track leak test (do a google search) and now i have no problems..hope this helps.

They only thing the pipe and coupling is close to touching is the o2 sensor but everything else is secure and clean, its just oil all around the topside of the coupling off of the turbo
