mazda 3 s
hey guys,

i jsut got my mazda 3s this past week, i love it.

but when i put my power window down partially and try to put it back up, it makes a clicking sound against the glass for a second.

does anyone else have this problem? or jsut me? im goin ot the dealership to tell them about it, other than that everythings cool.

thanks

It's a know "problem" with the Mazda3. Some people have said that the dealer has fixed this by simply tightening the bolts that hold power window motor in the door.

I have the same exact problem. I took my vehicle in several times before for the exact same issue and the dealer keeps telling me there is nothing wrong. In fact, the techs at the dealership tested several other Mazda3's sitting on the lot and they all exhibited the exact same thing, thus they concluded that it was perfectly normal!?! I'm guessin' that if a car came in without that noise, they would fix it so it does make that damn "ping" sound!!

Mine does that as well from time to time. Also there are times when the "suto down" seems to only bring the window down a small bit and I have to press the button again. Anyone else experience that?

My driver's side window had that noise and the dealer replaced the window regulator, and the problem hasn't come back.

My passenger side window started making the same noise after the driver's side, and they just tightened the regulator bolts/mechanism, and it seems to be fine ( I can here it occassionally)

I have the same problem with mine, guess I should get the regulator replaced or just learn to live with it.

Both my front regulators where replaced. Problem wasn't solved. They finally tightened a couple bolts and that did solve the problem. But I think they messed up something else 'cause now my windows rattle when not fully closed and driving on rough roads. Not to mention the door panel creaking. I'll have them look @ this next time I stop by.
