Power being limited in 1st and 2nd gear, any way around this??

If there's no shop manual, how come I have the workshop manual, engine manual, electrical manual, and service highlights manual sitting here on my workbench?

thats cuase you're an old fart rotus and didn't realize that those manuals are actually for the model T.... LOL

sorry couldn't help myself.

o yea i forgot about that...i did it and car doesnt stall in 2nd if u shift to fast to make up for wheel spin..the tires just spin

IF MAZDA HAD NOT MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT THE TRQ LIMITING OF THE ECU NO ONE WOULD NOTICE IT. Plain and simple.

B.S... try driving a speed 6 first and you WILL be able to tell a big difference in how much torque mazda is holding back.

yea i knew it had alot of torque but when i drove the car for the first time i was stuck in my seat and i bought it the same day....anyone with a brain knows when they drive a fast car that has alot of torque

Hondas don’t know about this torque thing... well I can confirm above said cheat works I started experiencing wheel hop once turbo cam on to boil in first and a little bit in second and that was while trying to be fast, not just loosing tread on my tires.

well hook it up then, where did u get? how can I get it. how come u never said anything. I've been waiting for it to come out everytime i did a search for it before it wasnt available yet.

This may be a dumb question

Please forgive me if these are dumb questions. I had a couple of questions for blacksheep. First is where did you find this little trick and once I disable everything...how do I turn it back on?

The MS3 only hits 8psi in first 11 in second and full 15.6 3-6...you can get the xede i think to stop this problem

Thats was going to be my next question

Thanks $inCity. That was acutally was going to be my next question. Did this little free mod only disable traction control. It seems like thats all it does. But HP and boost PSI is still limited in 1st and 2nd. But I guess someone with a boost gauge can confirm this. Another question....why would you want to turn off traction contol on a high torque car? Not being sarcastic....Im really asking.

usually, its because the traction system isnt very "smooth", most that detect wheelspin cut power for 1-2seconds...

in the mazda (comparatively), its relatively smooth...

The MS3 is a dream compared to my last car, a Mercedes C230. When it detected even the slightest wheelspin it would cut power in half for about 5 seconds. I felt it was actually dangerous since sometimes you just need the power and there was none! There was no off switch for it either; the only way I discovered to reduce it was to push the clutch to just barely slipping then it wouldn't do it. By contrast, the MS3 you hardly notice it is doing anything.
