I have been lurking for quite some time now, decided to make an intro thread.

I'm Marcus, from Knoxville,TN 22, I work in the IT field and I'm slowly finishing up school. I autocross as much as I can and I'm trying to get on the track more this year(HPDE, NASA TT, Chin, etc)

Started looking at MS3's in November, hope to have one by this summer. I currently have two miatas a 94 & 97, so I'm biased towards mazda anyways.

The 94 is a stock R-package with a front sway and the basic 15x7s and bfg gforce sports.

The 97 has gone through many stages, 99-00 head swap with a FMII turbo kit with a few DIY parts, running on a MSPNP, 3' enthuza, 550cc's, etc etc. Then it ran with a 99-00 head 01 block and fujiracing ITBs on the MSPNP. It currently has the 99-00head with stock manifold, 01 block, and MS3x with new harnesses(30volts fired the old wires) It's also got the standard shocks, springs, front sway, bushings, 3.9 lsd, and some other parts Im forgetting.

Finally test drove a MS3 the other day. It pulls pretty hard, doesn't have the kick in the pants lag like the MSM does, which is a good thing. It also blows the doors off a Civic Si which I was considering until I drove a MS3.

The things I like about the MS3 so far:
Lots of space
Hauls ass
Decent gas mileage (23-28mpg)
Its a Mazda
Looks good

The things I'm not liking about the MS3 so far:
Can only fit 235/245 tires on a 3200lb car
Its a 3200 lb car
Parts are so much more expensive than miata's
front-wheel drive

Hope to have one soon enough, then you'll be seeing me around a lot more :)

I hope you get one! Make sure you come back and post pictures or update if you do. I enjoy mine and its a lot of fun but in a different way than the Miata (I have a '91).
