Dude I love roof racks. I have a Thule roofrack on my 94 protege wich I am going to transfer on my future P5 (counting down days till it's mine!) (glare) So therefore, no pics of my light green protege dx (first)

Using the rack to carry my snowboard in the winter and kayak in summer :)

I love racks.

I used to have a Yakima rack for my bikes. Went from my 95 Altima to my 90 240sx. I then sold it (stupid...) because I had destroyed my bike and didn't know when I was going to get a new one.

I went as far as making "niceracks" decals.

I have a factory rack on my P5 now, and can't wait to get a bike again... to go biking... and so I have an excuse to add a rack to the P5.

(yes I do have a niceracks decal on my car now... I have more if yall are interested... ha)

Picture of the 240sx in all its glory back in the day:

i put the rack and car to good use in the winter! Except for the end of this winter, spent the night in ER and was told no more riding until next season.

OK, that's it. Next good weather weekend I'm gonna do pics of all the combinations of racks & cargo box for bikes, boards, clubs & kayaks. (golf clubs go in cargo box-holds 2 sets easy).

Interested in center caps for those wheels?

Bump.

I'm thinking on getting a Cargo Box for my P5 but not sure how they look. I nned at least 24x64x15, but I don't want to go too big like some out there that are 92x17x36.

Post all of your pics please.

I drove LA to Northern Montana with kids bikes on top, strapped with rope, the old fashioned way.

Personally, it seems useless for a rack to have nothing on it... just for "looks"

I used a Sears X-Cargo Sport 20 Car Top Carrier drove from California to Colorado, very slow drive as car load limit is maybe 1000lbs tops. i had cargo completely filled with luggage, 2 large snowboard bags packed and strapped on outsides of carrier, carrier was so filled would not shut but just latched it down with the straps, and 3 backpacks strapped on the rear of the carrier. No joke it was ridiculous and i was fairly sure we would not make it but the car did make it the whole way no problems, we had approximately 500lbs in front 2 seats, 600lbs in back seats and trunk, then an additional 250lbslbs on top, we were way over load limit of vehical, every bump we hit would bottom out shocks/ hit wheel well. I checked stuts and stuff when i got home and all seemed to be intacked. I did replace all the struts 1yr prior to this trip. I think car load limit is rated at 800 or 900 lbs so i was quit impressed with how well it did, not ideal and wouldnt care to do again but had to do it and it made it fine :) also top bars i think are rated for maybe 80lbs not sure but i know it was not even close to has much crap as i had loaded on there.

Oh my god. How slow was the car with all of that? Must've felt like you were driving an early 80's Golf.
