Your right fold out is kinda cheezy but girls love the cheese!!!

Only if you're 16 and impressed with just about ANYTHING.

Hey Ken, what else would I need if I went with that system? I'm an idiot when it comes to audio/visual crap. And I'm guessing that the monitor comes with wires that will have to run along the roof through the fabric and down one of the door pillars to the dash. Where would I put the DVD player part? Under the radio? And I guess the Xbox or PS2 would have to go under the passenger seat.

lara its simple... youll need a headunit that supports AUX input. Then just put a ps2 under the backseat run the audio (red/White) to the headunit and then take the video to the screen. I hard wired a power invertor to the cig lighter and powered the ps2 from that.

So where do I put the headunit and wont a device coming from the cigarette lighter look kinda cheesy? I wish I could see some pics of someone who has done this. Seems like everyone goes with the flip outs. I've seen some headrest units, which I thought about doing, but I'm eventually going to get some corbeaus. So that leaves THAT part outta it. lol

Statement/Question... I'm gonna be coming off deployment and i have a lot of cash to blow (most of it on the p5). Now the question... should i get the Pioneer AVIC-N1 or AVIC-N2, i know the biggest diffrence is the XM NAVTraffic (which i really need) but is that only for the N2 or can I up grade the N1? I've looked everywhere for this info, and i can't find it. Or should i just say "forget it" and save me a couple hundred and get the N1?

why not get the alpine d901 or the new alpine f1#status dvd unit (depending of course on how much money you actually have to blow :))

the avic-n1 isn't really anything special except for a little boost gauge or whatever the hell it is built in lol

a slim ps2 would fit the glove box ok and would suffice as both your game system and dvd player. i ran my wires under the carpet and side sills and put my car computer under the passenger seat.

I would Love to go w/ Alpine, but I'm a Pioneer fan and I really need the NAVTraffic feature. Being in San Diego and driving every weekend to Los Angeles it would really help out alot. Trust me i've looked at every thing out on the market and i think Pioneer offers more bang for the buck... especially on Ebay!!!

laracroft ur right only the 16 yr old would be impresed my g/f told me why would i want a t.v. in my car and honestly i told her i live in my car why not roll w/ the best entertainment technology has to offer.

Won't everyone agree?

I dont understand the point of the NAVTraffic thing. Like...s*** in chicago, traffic always sucks. The traffic patterns are always the same, so whats the pizoint?

You know... I didnt even THINK about that. You're right. I forget that the Xbox and PS2 can play DVD's too. Good thinking. But I'd have to buy a used one to put in there. I've got every game system known to man in the house and all of them are spoken for, so no putting an existing one in the car for me. lol

Mine showing the Haltech Software

Here's my in-dash VGA screen with the Haltech HalWinX software up.

you can pick up a decent "pre owned" one from gamestop for about 100

I'm going to save up to get this then. But right now, I'm getting ready to send my kid to Florida for the summer and in the middle of selling my house. But RIGHT AFTER that, I'm getting one. Thanks ken.

Eh, i think fold out gives u a better and safer view since its higher you don't have to glance down to far. Also, for the guy debating N1 or N2...get N1....pioneer put in a feature that ties video watching and navigation setup to your VSS wire, so if you are going about 10 mph, u can't watch a dvd, or setup information for the navigation. with the n1, u just have to ground the wire.

Good Looking out dude, i finally came to descision i know i'm getting the N1 i found the "update" for it and it'll read nav traffic info... i was kinda mad cause i found it on the Pioneer site (which i frequent) and i was looking everywhere eles. So the only thing to do now is to win a damn ebay auction.
