Post The Best Pictures of Your Mazda

how the hell is 50/50 ideal? when your braking the car does a nose dive. It only makes sense to put more braking force up front. If it was 50/50 the rears would lock up like crazy

this is correct. looks like no one else read the article either! a car has to be front biased for optimal braking. it's just a matter of how much depending on the car and situation.

edit: and here's a photo to go with the chatter...!

From reading the article I got that it's 50:50 balance front to back for breaking free of traction. When the weight is shifted forward during breaking the front needs more power and the rear needs less to maintain the balance hense the bigger front?

No new pictures yet. Damn weather!

really?? well as for the ones ive been too, theres two usual meets one off of rayford sawdust on fridays late, one closer towards the beltway, one use to meet on top of the parking garage in the woodlands tinseltown movie theatre but moved, one off of 290 on tuersday nights and then every once in awhile there will be a mini meet during the kroger nifty fifties car meet on spring cypress, but ive only seen that mini gathering twice. and yeah.... half the time there are alot of worse kept ricers out there, but they are still out there they just are graged more.

yep, the article indicates that between a 2.5/1 and 3.0/1 front to rear brake torque ratio is ideal for most applications.
