So, do MX5's come with both tops, or is the hard top an option, or what? I saw one the other day ('05 or '06 I believe) with a color matched hard top. I liked it a lot and wondered why I don't see more of them like that.

The new NC has a PRHT model. The hardtops on the other models were a dealer offered option. I'd love a HT if the funds were available.

It's an accessory that you can purchase. They are interchangeable between NA and NB and generally run between 900-1200 on the used market.

I just bought a 2010 miata with a hard top. (less than 33 days until she comes in!) when you're picking the different options for your car, one of those options is the soft or hard top.

She got the sunlight silver mica(i think that is the name) the pictured one. No you can not get mis-matched hard tops and you can not even get the hard top in some color (white for example) and I think there is a couple more. I think a all white or white with a black top would be nice too. But you would have to take it out to a shop for that.
