Post The Best Pictures of Your Mazda

Another question...shooting in broad daylight like that..what was your power setting for the flash and what was your camera setting? I've never shot bees outside, only inside. Do you find yourself running out of room power-wise in broad daylight like that photo?

1/2 power on the AB800, full power on the ABR800. I can use less power if I move the light stands closer.
Shutter speeds were around 1/200, 1/250, ISO 100, f/4.0-4.5, circular polarizer was used. I wouldn't be able to shoot wide open with the 800s; I'd need a B1600 to shoot at 2.8. Most portrait photographers are using the 1600s to overpower the sun. The 800s are strong, but not strong enough on a sunny day. I'm keeping my eye out for a B1600 on the used market, but they get bought quickly when they're posted for sale.

threadjack guys.... if there isn't a photography technique thread there should be...

How is the photography chat threadjack and the talk about body work and everything else not? There is always be various chatter in threads. If mods want to enforce it, then they need to delete everything except pictures.

^True that^. Now erase this message. Love the pics man. Wish I had the time and money to do that stuff. Photography is fun.

K that's what I thought. I just wanted to know what they were like in broad daylight. Since that's when most of my shoots are. And I'll be using the bees for glam and fashion more than anything. thx

Nothing fancy, just finally got around to waxing and snapping a couple pics.
