Post The Best Pictures of Your Mazda

msp's are very nice. i just wish they werent so needy.

VERY nice, Valk!! Good shots too.
I like the yellow ones almost as much... maybe more than the spicy ones.
Ah! In the end, it's a toss-up.

I would have prefered a spicey or black one but msps dont come up for sale enough to be that picky.

the yellow grows on you though =) its not like.. p5 yellow, or mustant chedder cheese yellow =)

as for maint. i havent done anything since i got it, but i figure its due for an oil change. doesnt rev as easily as i remember. also, need a full inspection to pinpoint any issues that are upcoming. she wines under full boost once warm.

this week, i have to put her up on blocks and relube the swaybar bushings, since mazda wanted $25/each for them and they arent even urathane.

if it's that noticeable of a whine under boost then either you have a boost leak somewhere or your turbo is on it's way out......that's what I mean by high maintenance >.<

it's not the little things that go wrong, it is the fact that when things go wrong they go horribly wrong and aren't cheap to fix =(

Yes it does! I've replaced motor mounts, wga, brake pads, trans fluid, tires, and obviously oil all in the last 10k miles.

meh. a dead turbo isnt a big deal. msp turbos are a dime a dozen . there is a guy here selling two gt25's for $250 cdn local. i was tempted to buy them both, rebuild them if needed and resell the other one i dont use. as for boost leak. thats a possibility. my boost gauge does jump around a bit under boost, not vac. i think its because i wasnt as careful reattaching the sender to the gauge when i installed it back into my custom pod.

been meaning to fix that, one of these days ill just rip it out randomly and do her up better.

unfortunatly, i dont know a lot about cars beyond what i read here. no wrench time, so i really do need an inspection from a honorable mechanic.

im pretty sure i posted this already. but there is where it is now.

yea, if it's not steady under full boost then you likely have a boost leak and it could be whistling from the back of your gauge if it's not sealing well

msp turbos are a dime a dozen, yea...but the work to get them installed is not exactly easy if you don't know what you are doing, if you have done it before it's not difficult but it is time consuming at first

i never said it wouldnt take a weekend ha ha. its coming from the engine bay and you dont hear it when the car is cold. just turbo spool which.. awsome ;)

but when she warms up, that spool turns into a whine. also, i get the knocking sound when the i start out from stopped, or when im going kinda slow for a particular gear.

valve tick when cold ect.. stuff i never noticed in my p5, but it was auto.

well yea, I'm just saying that you won't have a turbo fail multiple times in the first 80k miles with most other cars....nor will your LSD fail at least one time in the first 80k miles lol

it's definitely not a car one would put into the 'honda reliable' category

so far,the only time ive had issue with it not working for for me was some issue with the immobilizer. of course, i didnt know it even had one, and when i went to turn the key, and nothing... almost s*** my pants lol.

i suppose my next mod really SHOULD be some window tint ha ha. there is another yellow msp here that is tinted. looks very nice.

of course, i really REALLY want a dg grill. i just dont know where to get one. there are a bunch on ebay made of fiberglass that look about right but i dont want one that doesnt fit. so much so im actually willing to buy a new one from dgm if it comes to that..

if its made of fiberglass, is that realitivly a safe bet for a good fit?
I might even just make my own custom grill. any excuse to start a project ha ha.

after my subbox though.

mmmmm fmic, can i has? thats what i want right there. a nice stealthed fmic. which one you running?

what kinda drop you got? looks real good.

not sure what they are, i bought the car and the motor blew 2 days later i havent had time to check out it all. It does still have tokico blues with diferent drop springs i believe. im fixing all the rigging the previous owner did. I like the hidden FMIC too. when the new motor is built its getting a flat black paint over it too. nobody needs to know.

being aluminum, id see about getting it anodized instead. paint will hurt your heat transfer where anodizing just tints the surface of the aluminum with uv light.

if you have to paint it, just do the tanks would look pretty B/A that way even.

sucks your motor blew. gonna go forged? ;)
