ROB LIVES!!!! Too bad he has officially left the 22v club and entered the world of limited production Mazdas! It looks fantastic buddy!

Haha if only it was a real drop on real bcs lol. One day though. Want some bcs, lower pro tires, longer studs and pacers to push the wheels out a bit.
When I buy new tires I'll weld up the curbage and repaint my wheels. Gonna go with this icy graphite pearl that's similar to hyper silver but pops with pearl.

Months away cause of baby but need new tires soon so we will see.

I agree, even though I'm a little annoyed that he traded in the P5 w/o a partout :p

I never knew some 99s came with a 6-speed, hell of a find.

Looks BEAUTIFUL man. What setup you running in that beast? Gotta come out and play with us young bucks this spring. Would love to have you around and help the MD Mazda community grow!

BTW, welcome to the forums!

Thanks. That car is a Black Mica 05 Mazdaspeed MX5 that's pretty much stock aside from the big intercooler and FM axle-back exhaust. It's the wife's car and I don't drive it much, but it's a treat when I do.

My 'good' car is a plain jane '99 Miata Sport

What brand of paint is that? Do you have pics of it?

its a custom color wip using dupont chroma base tones. Ill lay down a course aluminized silver base coat and shade it with a pearl graphite midcoat. the icy tone comes from using a blue pearl additive but i havent decided on how much anything im donnt use. i wanna keep close to factory but still look custom.
ill probably use a darker course silver base to make the shading process easier heh... but its $45/pint to mess with it so wont be getting any samples made untill im closer to the process.

place that can redo my wheels costs $150/rim to weld/machine the lips and get rid of curbage.. so ill be investigating the technoweld method or just trying various epoxy fillers.

dont count on anything from me on this for a few more months. though if i can find a set of winter rims to practice on, ill post up pics and stuff.
