Post pics of your Mazda5

Wow been on the forum since we got it back in May of 08 with 17K miles, and have never posted it up. Nothing crazy...'07 Touring, AOD, with almost 99K miles now. Plastidip on wheels and emblems, LED interior lights. That's about it for what barely qualify as mods.

The 5 is the wife's, here's my DD...LOL good thing I work close to home!

On that dipped purple 5 on the last page, that was a depot lip correct?

Do we have any idea if the new 5 will follow the Kodo design? I mean, I'm sure it will because they all do eventually but do we know when? I don't want to think about getting a new one until they fix "the smile." Not a fan of horizontal tails on the back either.

While that's good information to have, I was asking if that was indeed the depot lip on that purple 5. If not, where abouts did that come from?

Here's a really bad picture of our 5 in wyoming- somewhere in the Shoshone national forest...
...i call it, "welcome to glare"

Mods? Well... we put some firestone air bags in the rear springs to help handle the extra weight when we go traveling. That's pretty much it- This is my moms car, the protege gets all the mods eh?

Finally got window rain guard visors. Been looking to get these (see pic) but it's always been a bit pricey and shipping would usually take weeks... Until I found it on ebaY from seller "rockmoons" for a great price and fast shipping(Fremont CA). Score!!

Drives really well. I have a few issues though:

Steering wobble at 65-70.
Drivers seat right-bolster leather is stretched and the bolster has basically collapsed - which isn't good for a car with this mileage. Anyone got that done under warranty?

Pretty good deal from a Mazda main dealer. 10K. Which was the cheapest I saw on Autotrader. There was a private sale Sport 2.0 on at the same time with slightly higher miles for 10,600, so with the 12 month warranty + balance of the manufacturer warranty it was a good deal. They wouldn't budge on the price though, so all I got thrown in was the car tax.

Unfortunately the skies got overcast today, so just went out and did a quickie shoot at a parking garage close by for now.

Looks good!

I am declaring it unofficially official. The RX8 rims look better on the <'10 and the 2nd gen MS3 look better on the >'12! The lines match the respective body styles.

I have to agree, I looked at a bunch of wheel choices for the car, but the the softer edges of the MS3 wheels work with the organic lines of the later MZ5 really well.

Looks awesome. Probably the best looking gen2 5 I have seen. How is the ride on those springs?

I just got them installed yesterday, so can't give a proper evaluation, but they are definitely firmer than stock though not harsh. Will have to put more miles in different conditions. I am sure they need to settle a bit too.
Thanks

Next up is a roof rack and a sky box, but one of my other cars just needed a big repair, so will have to wait :(

Totally agree. I don't like the line of the 2G, but those wheels really make it better.
