possible to change oil without ramps?

probably a retarded question, but just curious. if ramps are absolutely needed, i guess ill just have some shop change the oil. miss my lifted truck in this repect. (boom01)

This has been covered before. It is possible if you have a slanted driveway that butts up to a flat garage floor. Back the car in and extend the nose out over the driveway as far as possible. Put it in park, set the handbrake and chock the rear wheels. You should have enough room to get to the trap door behind which live the filter and oil pan drain plug.

Why not go buy ramps? They'll pay for themselves in no time with synthetic oil change prices at shops vs your cost for the oil & filter.
Be sure to get good quality ramps. This is not an item to go cheap on!
