I drove my 2008 MS3 GT to an AutoX event with Cobb AP installed. I reflashed the ECU with a custom map that morning for the event.
Then I drove the car the MCD to grab some breakfast. After breakfast started the engine and drove to Gateway International Raceway.
After I arrived at the track, I parked the car and I began setting up for the event. I tried starting the car to get a Tech inspection and it wouldn't start.
This weird car with a key flashing light came up so I looked it up in the manual. Found out that it could be a immobilizer malfunction/activation.
I then looked it up online in other forums and other owner used the spare key and was able to start it up.
What I tried to do:
1) I unplugged the battery to reset the ECU: didn't work.
2) Tried to use Accessport to read any code: AP said cannot find/locate ECU check cable...
3) Had a buddy give me a ride back to my place to grab my spare key to use it to start: didn't work
Anyone had the same experience?
