sure I would love too! My friend has a lot of little known secrets about that area since his family is one of the founding families of TX. You go into his grandmothers house and you see not a deed to the land, but founders rights...

I love going out there...

The reason I want to do something like this is becuase it gets kind of old just sitting around in a parking lot talking. I want to do more than that, I want to drive my car with other like minded people and enjoy what this state has to offer to us and our cars. We can plan routes and then establish meeting points, this will allow for everyone to set their own pace and still enjoy their time and still have everyone interacting with each other...

Fast drivers can go fast and slow drivers can take their time, once everyone meets up at the meeting points stop get out and explore and then eat etc and then back on the road to the next stop enjoying our driving time. This is how we did it on our bikes and it seemed to work out fine...

the hill country tour needs to happen in the spring when things start to warm up and the flowers are in bloom. That's when i come out of hibernation.

apocman, you and i should compare driving notes/routes sometime.

actually it's the worlds largest rock from my understanding and the indians use to think it had magical powers becuase it would make wierd noises due to the granite popping from cooling down as the sun went down...

The enchanted rock is just a big hill, the roads leading to it are nice.

yep, this would be nice and it would be at no cost to anyone to stay... which would allow for our funds to go for more gas for more driving and buying useless crap at the local shops at all of the old little towns...

this thread was created to decide. but i think something like apocman suggested would be awesome. like..........forget about the city. what if we all went like camping or something in the woods so we can get out of the city and find some twisties.

castle? like a real castle (well obviously real castles dont exist here but a replica of one?)? because there is a castle (like HUGE with watch towers and all) about a mile away from my parents farm near la grange. is this the castle your referring to?
