I painted the calpiers the other day, I took off the calpier to paint it.

After I put everything together bled the brakes and what not, I took it for a ride only to find the both back brakes, both capliers have seezed. Any ideas?? I did not have the key on when I bled them. Could there be air still in the ABS??
Please help I only have use of another car tonight, and I need to get this fixed.
A friend said I should grease the piston is this so and what type of grease should I use.

Thanks

Don't know man. Honestly, I'd goto the dealer or a mechanic.

I don't take off my calipers when I paint them. TO much work IMO. My brakes might not be perfect as when you take them off and paint them or use the paint brush method. My method is quick and it looks good enough for me. Personally I don't see much difference in the way it looks, plus I am going to replace the calipers someday.

Goodluck on getting that fixed.

Did you block off important areas of the caliper when you painted? Was it still able to move after you painted it?

I don't think it would seize if there was air in the lines - if you did still have air in them it would just feel like you had no brakes and like you were literally pumping air with your brake pedal.

Sounds like maybe you might've gotten paint in the piston housing - did you cover that off or paint the piston also?

We need more details...

The only thing I can think that I nmight have done wrong is not had the key on when I bled the brakes. What about this greasing the piston?

Search, it has been posted thousands (OK, overstatement) of times. There is a cap on the back remove it and turn the hex head back.....

how do you get the back piston to go back I can't get it to budge. It just sticks out
if you mean when the caliper is off then you have to either get a caliper compressor. real cheap or a C clamp and a peace of metal that you can wedge in there and then as you tighten the piston goes back in and it will hold so you dont have to worry about it poping out.
