You should also look into www.zymol.com. The wax is a little pricey but man does it leave a shine like no other. I just started using it after I got my car any it is the best stuff I have ever used.. Way better than Meguires.. And if you dont have micro fiber towels get some...

I wasn't too impressed with Zymol. It goes on/off very easily compared to some other waxes, but the shine just wasn't extremely different than the rest.

I second the thought that these cars sat for too long. Mine was prepped in May and I bought it at the end of September. Whatever protectant the factory put on the car was LONG gone.

You must prep the paint, polish it, and then wax it.

My yellow MSP is very smooth almost a month after I "fixed" it. Any item I put on the roof or hood will slide off. And the water beads perfectly on it.

My favorite "system" is Meguiars. I polish and wax once the beading starts to go away.

None of you should whine about the paint Mazda uses. My 01 Maxima started chipping the week after I bought it and hasn't quit since. The front end looks like someone sand blasted it. Nissan has used bad paint for 10+ years. I really had to screw up the paint on my 91 Protege before it started coming off. So far I only have 1 little chip on mine. Given the number of SUVs and gravel trucks I follow to work I'm pretty happy with the quality of Mazda paint.

I use Liquid Glass. It's supposed to add some protection to the paint as well. I've gotten absolutely bombarded by rocks from a truck...I though it was going to be horrible..I wrote the plate # of the truck down and was about to call the police. But when I looked at my car, there was not a single chip.

i wash my car prolly like every week to 10 days, in between washing if there is not alot of surface dirt ill use a zymol spray wax to shine her up. (of course if paint is dirty i will not do this becuase it will scratch the paint) i usually was once a month and clay at the same time i use zymol wax as well. Best stuff ive ever used besides ardex flint glaze wax except that is very hard to buff out/ used my orbital buffer with a wool pad/. ( i runa professional deatiling shop) this is just maintenance, I also used Klasse AIO and then the klasse sealent. The results from the klasse polymer sealent are amaizing, It lasts longer than wax and is alot harder so it protects better. I put 3 coats on the car then wax over it, its like adding 3 layers of clearcaot, u have not seen a car shine until uve seen a Klasse car! its pricey but well worth it. As long as u have a good was on the front (klasse doesnt hurt either) it should resist chipping as well!
