Not sure how much I am going to mod this one. Possibly a nice intake, once I find one for this car. It is my wife's, so she really won't be needing too many mod's for it. She is completely happy with this car the way it is right now, but I am also looking for some 18"s right now though. We will see how it goes. I could end up going crazy on it.

I don't like the 3 much at all, don't like the exterior at all, like the interior but I am wondering;

How are you going to put an after market stereo in it?

I love the 3...wish I had held out for one myself....that 2.3L is SO tempting.....

Ceej, the headunit is not the weakest the part of the facotry sound system...I figure someone who wanted better sound would just replace the door speakers and amp them. All the head unit does is read the cd and equalize the sound

I was wondering the same thing, because I know the stealership will sell you an adapter for like a million bucks for the stereo ... but the interior is definitely high grade looking.. I like the 3, but it really reminds me of the current jetta too much.
18's would look nice on that ride..

why the hell does everyone want new head units? they're ergonomically flawed with their small buttons and they do very little to improve anything....they're just throwing your money away.

i agree, anyone who wants sound will always go for speakers/amp/subs before a microscopic headunit

i just got a three, and my friend drives an all new jetta... i dont see the similarity that much, unless they both have four doors...
i had a p5... i got rid of it for a 3... to each his own

i didnt like the responsiveness of the 5; i had an auto, and when i w.o.t. it, the car just sits there. it got annoying to enter a highway (esp hov lanes). also, the p5 is a hatch, but the hatch area was pretty damn small. With my 2 10's , there was almost zero trunk space... that and i think the 3 (sedan) looks better, as most people do... the hatch 3 is a little weird looking, which most p5ers agree with. i liked the p5, but i just like the 3 better

Well, I'm still undecided after researching and comparing different cars. The auto show can't seem get here soon enough. (Minneapolis)

I have it narrowed down now to.....vehicles I can get for around $20k or less.

Decisions decisions!!

I have one question that might sound dumb, but why is it that I have seen some pictures of Mazda3's that have fog lights like the ones on your car.....then I have seen others that look different. They don't have that horizontal bar that looks like it is holding the fog light?? Maybe I was looking at the 3 hatch bumper ???

I have a P5 and even though i am so in love with it.. i still consider trading in the 5 for the 3...especially with the leather and navi..yummy

HAHAHAHA that's funny...... I think we all know it should be the WRX.... The VW is pretty nice too.... almost got one myself. The pimp appeal with the WRX is just waaaaay better. And it's a blast to drive

I was considering an MSP, but I tried a few out and the ride just seemed a little stiff for a daily driver. I also tried a couple used MP3's and they both had the suspension bushing clunking! I know that problem carried over to the MSP's and just don't want to deal with that. Other than that, the car was pretty peppy, but by no means fast. The handling and steering feel was GREAT though.

The Mazda6, Altima 3.5SE, Jetta GLI and WRX have more power which I like lol. Plus they (well maybe not the WRX) will have softer rides. The Mazda3's are still a little below the kind of power I want, but I like everything else about them (3s sedans) that I've seen and read so far.

the 3's interior is awesome. i like the guages to the seats. but the exterior i dont like much. the back reminds me of a corrolla. and its alittle chubby. But i like what u done with it. 18's is defintially a good idea, i might change my mind if u get those.
