PICS: Orange Tint

Drumroll please.....

Here's some pics of the orange tint I got last Friday on my Spicy MSP. It looks even more subtle under direct sunlight, but all that gold pearl was blinding the camera so I moved to the shade.

First time postign pics so give me a sec if this doesn't work and I'll attach them one by one.

It's a much closer match under direct sunlight. It darkens up quite a bit and looks more like regular dark tint till you look through to the other side.

The reason it looks so yellow is cause there is SOOOOO much light in the background behind the parking garage.

I agree it looks a little too yellow but interpreting color in general depends solely on lighting. I'd like to see some pics in direct -instead of back - lighting to get the full effect. But IMO I think it looks hot! Very nice.

Another way to tone down the brightness if you are not to happy with it may be to put another layer of some really light titanium tint over the orange tint. That way it would be more subtle.

Not that a spicy orange car is subtle to begin with.

The 2nd picture (the one with the open door) and the 2nd to last (looking into the driver's side) are the closest color representation, but it's still lighter than the tint actually is. Look at the car's paint, in the pic it's peach, not orange. It's kind of the same thing as looking at pics of an Orange MSP, it always looks better in person.

The truth is I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I got a good deal on the tint so figured why not. Now that it's in I'm really happy with it. It's very different, and it's a lot more subtle than say reflective/silver tint which was my second choice. To me it looks very original, but still classy, just like the rest of the car.

90% sure I'll be out tonight. Jamie started teaching again today so I may be helping her prep stuff for class tomorrow.

And yes I plan on entering shows, but not for a while. Not until I have my guages, EBC and FMIC, and maybe a better entertainment system/carputer or a Nitrous Express Ntercooler. For now I'm like you, just wanted something to make it a little more original and personal.

I don't personally like those fading tint jobs. Then again, pretty much the only cars with them around here are ghetto cruisers, so they kinda put a bad taste in my mouth.
