To the Point:

Well on my way to work im sitting at a light in moderate traffic, listening to music with the windows up......i hear tires screeching for about 4-5 seconds while waiting......i look around during those few seconds thinking to myself, " Hmm, whats going on? someones about to wreck." By the time i decided to look in my rear view mirror, my baby and I get knocked forward about a foot..........after talking with the buzzed old man that hit me, he decides to pay for it outta his own pocket. He fronts me with all information and $200.........so i go get an estimate and it comes out to be a tad under $1000 for damages. Now lets see if he comes through with the rest.......he seemed like an honest man so we'll see.

The is the second wreck i have been in, and my second protege to get hit.......why cant people learn to watch the road, and drive a little more cautiously?

All the old man had on him was $300 and some change.......from what i saw. I just told him gimme $200 to make me feel a little better, didnt want to jack all his cash........granted i know what happened, but still. Got his info off his license and home number.......he actually lives close to me, from what his address read. Bout to call him in acouple of hours to tell him about the estimate.

o yeah........and i dont have a muffler, i have my exhaust exiting after the DP by my front tires (thumb) Prolly why my motor has lasted this long with 10psi+ and over 30k miles relieves stress from the motor.

Hope he pays, cause he could techincally just say he didn't do it. Without some other record other than your view and his view it could be hard to proof.

Not always, in some states if it isn't your fault then they can not raise your rates. IE: Getting hit from behind, hitting a deer, your car getting hit when it is parked etc.

**UPDATE**

I called this guy today, and he seemed too drunk or just too old to talk. He kept pausing to take a breath.......anywayz, after i told him how much it was going to cost and when we could meet up........he pulled this "i just got robbed and cops are going to come over to check things out and file a report." Sounds like hes bullshitting, so ill be going to his house with a buddy to sit down and talk to this guy. I know i have 36 hours to file a claim, so we'll see what happens today and what hes going to do........If this guy screws me over, i swear i will make his life more miserable than it already is. You dont **** with my Speed and NOT pay for the consequences........

This is also my fault too for not handling this the proper way when it happened, through Police & Insurance. If this falls through, its what i get for having a heart for the elderly and thinking they'll do the right thing.
