Yeah I own a MS3 but I'm certainly not "Poor" I could afford a much more expensive car as many others on this forum could as well. However, we chose the MS3 for its great value not because it was all we could afford.

It's not a "Poor Mans" anything. It's a Mazdaspeed3

I will be mad, but thats ok because my car is so much faster than sti. I made a point of it. And so can you! We might cross paths this summer. You are not that far away, an hour + or 45 minutes in a speed 3

I tried but no self discipline or something. Met with salesman and he noticed my tickets from the track in cup holder. Used to race bikes great guy, hope to let him drive my car in the 1/4. I have full exhaust plus other stuff It seems i am cool with them till I mess with ecu or internals. Your car is great out of the box. have fun and be safe

I bet you heart must have skipped a beat once you had realized what you done. At least you dealer doesn't appear to be anal like some I've been hearing about.

I've always thought the STI new was overpriced by Subaru. They just keep raising the price too. If anything the MS3 is the smart man's STI, not poor man's.

My WRX was overpriced too and still needed four grand in mods to compete with the performance of a stock MS3.

Yeah, I would love one of the new STi's but I will never pay 38k when there are so many great cars for so much less.

And for the modding fix, I have my Infiniti. Which should be about done in a week or two.(bowdown)

like you said also...the comparison of the two are not even the same. while they may beat up on the dig because of the awd....we can most certainly beat them off a roll with the fwd and a few mods. while still spending 15k less. lol. i call this the "smart mans sti." instead of the people who actually buy the sti that costs half their mortgage. guess what....i own a smart mans sti and a boat. they own an sti and a toaster.

That's what I like to call her..."poor mans STi".

I'm new to the forum, hopefully I wont rant too much and ask questions too many times without doing any searching.

Here are a few shots of the MS3 sport, sorry for the crappy cell pics...

I have these rims for daily driving and the stock ones will be for racing. The stockers are currently at the powder coaters getting a shot of gloss black.
There isn't much done to it, ummm, basically nothing except the rims and the blacked out emblems. DIY FTW!

I like to autox the car, so this will be setup for DS, if i'm competetive with it the way it is, than nothign will get changed. If not, then I will have to play with it abit, but I don't want to move out of DS.

Next up is painting the calipers, I think i'll go with black.

I own two other cars, both Infiniti G20's/Nissan Primeras. One of them the GF drives and the other is the real deal hot rod.

Hopefully I can be of some help.
