very nice! I love the newer SE-R's. Very strong cars. A buddy of mine has one and I used to race him in my MSP all the time...it was damn had to get past him and he was bone stock. I'm sure you're kicking the piss out of the MSP's now! I love the 6-speed and torquey feel of the 2.5L motor. Nissan makes bad-ass engines.

Yeah, I was thinking about that - but I've never a driven the Spec-V.

Still, I would think a n/a 175HP with a close ratio 6-speed would have no problem pulling ahead of a f/i 170HP 5-speed.

Those things are only 17,300 MSRP. If I can get a little less upside down in my car, I might try to get one. In the meantime, I'll be driving my mazda.

No offense dude, but the 2.5L engine in that car is a POS. I work @ Nissan so I probably should be praising your car, but I see them blow up every day. I was trying to decide between the Spec V and the 03.5 Titanium MSP, and you can see what I chose. I test drove the Spec V, and I was impressed by the performance, but it does not put the power to the ground very well in my opinion. I prefer having a limited slip by far. I wouldn't really make use of the 6th speed around here. I would rather the limited slip for launches. I am not bagging on your car, I just think it is funny that people are misinformed about the quality of that 2.5 engine. (bicker) There are so many recalls and problems on the SE-R/Altima 2.5, and the Sentra in general. I have blown an engine, but it was a fuel problem, and I have a new engine now. I am going to tackle the fuel problem as soon as one of the standalone computer systems is finalized. As for the Focus SVT, I know a few people that own those, they are decent cars. I am trying to convince our team @ Nissan to come out with a 200 or 240SX again, with a turbo-charged SR-20 motor in it. I am not all about the 4 door Sentra, I want a 2-door again. I may be on the research team if they approve the project. My friend @ work went to the last meeting. I am younger though, and they want to market it towards my age group. We shall see. Let me know what you decide to go with. I am interested to see how many people are getting rid of the Spec V's. I am happy with my decision (2thumbs) (get a MazdaSpeed 3, they look badass!!)
