Really thinking about a set, seen a few with them on but anyone got some pics that might sway me?

I haven't put my set on since getting them back from the powdercoaters earlier this year. But check with bracedeunos. He's got a nice one sitting on Megan springs.

Here's mine:

Tires are 225/40/18
It is not lowered - everything's stock on the suspension (I just replaced the front shocks with normal Monroe ones, the springs are old and original)
No rubbing at all. Even fully loaded with 4 adults and a 4 year old kid and baggage it does not scrub at the back, eventhough the wheel gets a little hidden in the wheel arch.

Thanks for the info vesko. I actually thought you were running a larger tire. Again, it looks good settled down! Still trying to decide if I want to put springs on mine. I'll wait and see how it looks after I put the wheels on.

Here is mine. Just mounted on the 5 today. Tires are 245/40. The 5 is lowered on Megan Racing lowering springs.

Thanks tuanies. I really like the RX8 early wheels on the first gen mz5. I'm waiting to see what wheels you end up putting on your '14.

A quick shot of my car as I was leaving work this morning. Sitting on H&R springs.

This is the first pic I've seen of your 5 with the wheels on it. Looks good. I like that you went white when the fad seems to be black these days. Are you happy with the fitment?

Thanks loosenut! I've always liked the concept of bright wheels but I wasn't looking to go the auto-x route (tiffany blue was tempting though). Even 18's look a bit small on this car but the lighter color make the RX8 wheels seem a little larger still without having to commit to a 19. I actually went with the Cooper RS3-A in a 225 40 (have them on my stockers). They didn't come in 235 and were $120 cheaper at NTB than Discount tire, not including the $70 Visa card. Now the car feels really planted in turns and it won't bottom out when I hit a rather large dip that I go through almost daily. I still haven't been able to get the back end to slide out and I'm done trying. It did once with the stockers. I have 5 mm spacers that I'd bought for the back but I never installed them. I'm liking the way it is now. Bad news though. I found that the passenger rear rim was bent at the axis. Bought two more off craigslist and had the guy meet me at discount tire to check them to make sure they were true first. We found 1 bent and 2 true. So I got them. On a side note, I've had Eibachs on a 1998 Subaru Impreza RS and the ride was beyond firm and well into the harsh range. The H&R really do feel similar to stock and ride is pretty pleasant, unless I'm throwing it in a corner, then I'm hugging the window.

I'm of the mind to believe the guys that run these outrageous wheels tend to trade them out often. I think you'll be happier in the long run with the white. While I have my winters on I plan on fixing some curbs rash and having my RX8's painted in the smoke finish Mazda currently offers as an option. I love that finish.

I love the look of these. I think the Mazdaspeed6 wheels look even better. They look amazing on the 5. If I were going based on looks, I would choose Mazdaspeed6 18" alloys for my 5.... but I've got an eye on performance, which means if I upgrade my wheels, I'm going way lighter. Most likely a 17" wheel between 14-16 lbs tops. Unfortunately the RX 8 wheels and Mazda6 wheels are closer to around 23-25 lbs. That makes them a no go for me, as beautiful as they are... :(
