Philips HID Conversion Kit, Lexus IS-F Shift Knob, Kenu Airframe

Is it required for us to connect the HID set to the battery for power supply or can it be powered using the stock wiring? Also does HD Relay take care of grounding or does it have to be grounded no matter what?

Any HID kit you buy should come with whatever you need to hook up the bulbs. That'll include bulbs, ballasts and any wiring in between to connect them with the stock components. Does that make sense? I'm pretty much asleep today LOL.

Not really, lol. I need to know in specific if we need to wire the HD Relay to the battery or not. Due to the lack of detailed instructions, it even more difficult for newbies. :P

There should be a wire connected to the battery that you would hook up the HID kit to. It's a pretty straightforward installation and you can't miss it. Originally, that wire is hooked up to the stock bulb.

Does that mean we don't have to hook up the HID to directly to the battery? From what you are saying, I am assuming we just hook up the HID kit to stock bulb wiring.

The kit will still work without a relay harness. However, a relay harness will provide more stable voltage to the ballasts and will be a safeguard for the stock wiring in case anything were to happen.

PIAA Precious White (4800k) - Replaced the stock fog light bulbs with these. They look white in the picture but they're actually mint green in real life which is disappointing.

guys, I guess I am finally ready to get going with the HID install. I had a quick question on it. When we go for an oil change and other maintenance stuff to the dealer, and they notice this kit installed, do they have the right to immediately void the warranty or not until something messes up in the system? Just trying to figure out stuff to be on the safe side. Thanks!

They can't void any part of the warranty unless they encounter a failure directly related to the part that was changed. So for instance, if a headlight harness fries, they could conclude the HIDs did that and not honor warranty work for that claim. They CANNOT void the ENTIRE warranty for it.

not sure how it works, but if what you are saying is right, it would be awesome.

I got them on eBay. They're pricey, but after running LEDs from different vendors I found these to have the best color and intensity. Interior LEDs are from HID Powerhouse.

They market towards Toyota and Lexus owners, but as long as bulb sizes are the same, the bulbs will work. They have a section for the Mazda 6, but you'll need to use the search function their website to get there.
