Pet Barrier for MS3??

Hello...

I'm wondering if anyone has a pet barrier in their MS3?? I did a search and couldn't find anything. I saw a couple online but I wanted to see if anyone actually has one so they can tell me how they like it and how fitment is. Thanks in advance!!

I've been wondering the same too. My GF has 2 small ones and I have a medium sized puppy. They all usually ride in her Prius, but it's only a matter of time before they have to be in my car. I would have thought with the amount of time this platform has been around, there would have been a car specific one produced. I did find this on my first search...

You can do what i did and train the dogs to stay in the back... its gonna take alllooott of time though

My dogs are very trained and don't come up front. I travel with 2 Chihuahua's and an American Bulldog taht almost weighs 100lbs. I need the gate to seperate them due to the size difference and if I turn or something my BUlldog could accidently hurt the Chihuahuas.

I actually train dogs but it's kinda hard to teach a big dog not to be a clutz lol

Subscribing. I have the OEM rubber trunk mat for any mishaps, but I'd like a Mazda3-specific barrier, not a universal that might fit.

The only spills there ever better be is if I get into an accident and spill my soda which would never happen because I only get bottles LOL They've never had a problem in the Evo.... my kids are potty trained :)

A member on a different forum built his own out of 1/2" PVC tubing with several cross joins and corner fittings. Test fit and then reassembled with everything glued together. After that he gave it several thick coats of a vinylish spray paint that was pretty durable. The way he connected it was by having the posts for the back headrests go through four pieces of pipe, then just snugged the headrests onto the piece of pipe and it was held secure.

Sadly his pictures aren't up anymore, but for $15 it was a pretty good solution.

Ok so last night I went to Wal Mart and saw a Barrier that said fits all station wagons, suv's and minivans..... so I bought it. Put it together in the parking lot and tried to put it in... WRONG lol Too big. If you put the thing behind the front seats it will fit.... but if you try to keep it right behind the back seats it will not because of the slope on the roof.

I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to buy that cargo mesh net for dogs (http://www.hunterk9.com/site/870877/product/330) and I'm going to attach it to the Oh-sh!t handles and on the bottom where those 2 rings are on both sides of the car. It's only going to be in when the dogs are in there so I'm not worried about how it really looks. It shouldn't look too bad though.... probably like I'm going net fishing in my car LOL I'll let you know how it goes :)

I'm sure the PVC piping worked great! I'm not that creative to make something like that lol

So you want to keep them under the hood in the trunk so they can't see and it's dark?? lol You must not have dogs you take around.... or you don't love them lol

LOL that is true... but no. I wouldn't put my dogs in a box with a night light.

I ordered my net.... I'll let ya know how it is when I get it lol
