Perfworks Kit on my AT, First Impressions

well i have stock pipes on right now. and i can get it to pop because the pipes are way to small for a turbo. so i am getting straight pipe put on soon. driving an auto with boost takes talent. you have to know your tranny and know your turbo. the BOV is a must if you would like to keep your turbo from surging. there is no question its a must. you can have it rerouted to go back into the intake so you can be a sleeper. run lean? no. i run way rich always. micah i run 8 psi and my tranny just loves it. i dont like peeling out in a auto but last night i just had to do it, i lit em up. also been killing tons of cars. as much as i love proteges... i did kill a MSP bad last night. but anyways, its fun. more mods for me very soon. but im glad you like micah. dont be affraid to boost.. if you aint knockin floor the b****. if you dont boost, you shouldnt have got a turbo ;)

peace- trav

Yeah, I know. Nick at the shop asks me about it

Nick: "You keep backing off the throttle"
Me: "Yeah, I'm not used to it, got scared"

I'm running pretty damned rich too, hopefully get some more road tuning in tonight.

BTW, which Turbo are you using?

ihi with a rhf5hb comp and 20 turbine. ball bearing. oil and water cooled. i wanted a t28 fast spool and handles the power but no manny for it. t3 is old technology. ihi are sweet just twice as much. it dont weight anything either. i love it.

i hope to be running 10 psi daily and 15 with a swtich very soon.

i've got an auto tranny too and to be honest i could have been the first boosted auto on the forum....but i was scared to be the first...i'm a wimp! anyway glad to hear things are working out for the auto guys!! i'll probably do something this spring....good luck!! and keep us advised of your progress!

nitrous soon... want n20 so get me off my launch (when i get the level 10) then at spool will trigger a vacuum switch to shut off the nitrous and boost takes over. fun stuff. just takes time and money. both of which i dont have right now. lol

How about some dyno's already. Very intersted in perforks kit. His setup with the piggyback might be the way to go. Still trying to decide.

Trust me - it's being Tuned as time permits. I only own one car, and this is my daily driver. I work Mon-Fri from 8am-6pm. The shop is about 40 miles away from me, usually takes me somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour to get there depending on traffic. I was down there last night, and I'll be down there again tonight. I'm pretty much down there at least 4 nights a week, and Saturday.

But I am a single guy, I have to still do stuff like laundry, cleaning my apartment, and shopping for food.

I can't believe you are quoting Gary Busey in your sig; that guy is such a fruit.

Yeah, he's an odd guy. But his performance in Point Break was oscar-worthy.

"Enemies are friends in reverse." Haha, that's funny. Did he say that in his new show or in a movie?

Yes, Gary is a wierd guy. BUt he's also a way of life. Lest we forget, he was Oscar nominated for the Buddy Holley Storey. He starred with Coey Haim in Silver Bullet, Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon, the list goes on and on. The qoute is from the Comedy Central Series, "I'm with Busey". It's kind of improv, "let's take Gary to the racetrack" and see what happens humor. HE usually does random wierd and scarey things, usually at the expense of his co-star Adam.
