2011 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring AWD
Hello, everyone. This is my first post. In fact, this is my first Mazda. I purchased a 2011 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring after test driving over 13 vehicles. The Mazda is fantastic.

Slight problem... There is a rattle within the passenger side door panel that is extremely frustrating!

Other problem... I can't stand the dealership I purchased this vehicle from and DO NOT want some half-ass technician rip the passenger side door panel off in a hasty manner. I'm a DIY type of guy, regardless that the vehicle is under warranty (purchased it on Memorial Day).

Considering I am an extremely meticulous person, I'd like to remove the front passenger side door panel and attempt to find the rattle MYSELF. However, I've Googled and Googled to try and find out how to do it, all research to no avail. That's when I came across Mazda247.com.

Does anyone know how to remove the front passenger side door panel on a 2011 Mazda CX-9? I'd appreciate any photos or a step-by-step explanation.

Thank you very, very much.

Future Man,
Send me a PM with a valid email address. I will send you a page or two of instructions.
Before that, are you sure the rattles are coming from inside the door panel?
Why I ask? Because it is a common knowledge to CX9 owners that the passenger side
seat belt buckle rattles against the B-pillar if not placed properly....
Check that out first before you rip the door panel wide open and find nothing...

Thanks, Ceric. I'm almost positive it's the door panel because if you push on it ever so slightly, you can hear the click. So it rattles as you drive, but when you push on it you hear the same clicking noise ever so faintly. But I will certainly check out the seat belt buckle first. Excellent advice. I will PM you now...

Again, thank you.

Ceric, I also need the removal of the door panel (driver side, however) I have to replace the master side mirror/window/lock switch as my side view mirrors stopped going East/West (they still go North/South), already brought it to mazda while i was there getting my rotors fixed, they confirmed it was the switch, and I bought a new one. I just want to make sure I don't miss a clip or screw when I try to take it off.

PM sent with email
