parts for a mp3 vs. a p5

lets say i want to get parts for my mp3, if i find parts that fit the 2.0 litre protege, or protege 5, will they fit or work on my mp3?

Example: on nopi i found an ECU that fits a protege, will this fit on my mp3?

Also while i am on the subject, when looking at lowering springs for my car do i wanna look at lowering springs for a protege 5 for a normal protege? Which ones will fit better?

Sorry if this subject has been covered before, i am a little new to protege tuning

I'm sure you are going to get flamed for asking and not searching but I'll hook you up with the info. The ECU in the MP3 is already reprogrammed to give you advanced timing. DON'T CHANGE IT! The springs for the Pro5 will not fit the MP3 because the Mp3 has Tokico struts. I think Eibach makes some strictly for the MP3. Basically anything that fits the P5 motor is the same for the MP3. But dont' touch the ECU.

Yeah there right. Don't touch the ECU just yet. When and if Venom ever come out with there 400 performance control module that is when you upgrade your computer by strapping that on. To clarify that. You don't change anything internally in the computer you just hook up the 400 to your ECU

thanks for the help guys, another question, since the only springs that fit a mp3 are ones specifically design for it, are there any other companies out there that make springs for the mp3, because i am looking to lower my car about 2 inches this summer, however i do not want to buy expensive coilovers......if you could help me with this it would be great, thanks

forget my previous question it was dumb and i didn't research before i asked, now i know the answer. One last question then i am done on the subject. Some people claim that you cannot notice a difference with eibach springs, is this true? If not then can someone with a mp3 with eibach springs on it post a picture so that i can see what it looks like? I just don't want to waste my money if the difference is that unnoticable...
