I got this part off of a friend, it a pocket that is supposed to fit in place if you want to replace your stereo.

It's not a flip cover like the MP3 pocket, but is an open one with a lip on it..

I am not 100% sure it will fit, will find out on tuesday when I get my stereo installed..

It is the size of a sigle din.

Just a side note..A pocket from a Ford Mustang, pretty much any year fits in there perfectly..got mine from the wrecker's for $2 Comes with a little rubber matt for the bottom of the pocket (if it's still in the car)

i just used the scoche kit form sound domain... with a lil dremmel work i got my eq to fit in there perfect. -=)
i wanted the lil flippy door but i like having the eq rite there.

So if you are replacing your stereo, this maybe a good route to go, and it is a genuaine mazda part...
