Painting wheels?!?!?!?

Whats up guys... finally doing some work to the car and i'm psyched i bought some rota tarmacs in silver from lamp3 wooo hoo... anyway i want to paint them black what do you guys suggest i use/do .. i dont want to have to paint them every 3 months i'd like it to last and look sharp...Any expertise in this area would be greatly appreciated... also i just bought all the bulbs for my car in hyper white so i'll be doing that and Doing the headlights black this weekend... super psyched get back to me..

xantxp5x, The best advice I can give you is to do a search on powder coated wheels. That is pretty much the only way to get your wheels painted and not have them chip and look crappy. It shouldnt be to much to do and the end result is good looking and long lasting.

dont paint them black... i'll say that much unless u like that look. i got mine in gunmetal but its shiny, not flat black, and it has a polished lip. if u plan to go black black, i would rethink your choice.

Yea i will do that so powder coating is the way to be eh.. sounds good hopefully its not too difficult. Well actually i was planning on just doing the spokes and the center and leaving the lip silver.. so it would be like a pokished lip. but anyway i am into those wheels on that prelude i like that black.

I am actually wanting to do it myself can anyone produce a how to on this... like as far as sanding and priming the wheels.. i dont want to destroy the wheels when i get them... 400.00 to have wheels painted is a bad idea since the wheels are only 500 to begin with...maybe i'll just sell them and get the gun metals... any buyers??? Rota 17in x 7.5 tarmacs in silver? get at me if interested.
