Paint silver trim chrome

Does anyone know a good Chrome paint that will stick to the silver trim around the shifter and radio trim. This color trim now scratches evry easy just the wire from the radar detector has managed to wear out a nice section of the paint.

I have the same question. I scratched the same area with the hose from the vacuum at the ar wash. (Now I put down a towel.)

I never have used that one but I usually had good results with duplicolor.

I think with a Chrome finish around those areas, you would have unbearable glare.

Chrome paint..NEVER looks chrome..loks like silver..and not even close to chrome..Dont do it.

I wouldn't go with the chrome, I would just stick with a similar silver color. I wrote up a quick how-to on my old Mazda3 forum from when I used to do interior work for people. The how-to is for everyone with little experience or lack of automotive paint booth to use, and that wants a good looking interior using the duplicolor or similar paints.
(in the front of the ip address, change the 0's to "o"s in forums and .com)

I would prefer to have the polished piece black-coated to eliminate the darn glare when driving on a sunny day.

I have the same wear on that silver trim from my radar detector wire...cheap crap! A plastic wire should not wear a hole in the paint!!!

silver coating

I was just doing some interior detailing, and when I motored the driver's seat all the way back -- I almost fainted! j/k The silver trim running on the left hand side of the center console is totally thrashed! I don't know it it's from the seatbelt or the seat itself, but it's a real bummer and really makes me wonder what my interior is going to look like in a few years...
