counted 21 small chips on the front of the hood and grill. 2 of them, rather deep. it seems the true red MS3s have paper thin paintjobs.

i think all mazdas have paper thin paintjobs
but thats the price you pay for environmental crap

our only option is to repaint the car, with several coats and a nice thick clear coat.
i bet even a $200 earl scheib paint job is better than the factory one lol

we all are suffering this. I have one on my rear hatch even and it is from road debris as i was very careful for the first two years. I have given in to my fate. Another year or two of chips and i will start driving the dirt roads up here rally style. F trying to keep her pretty!

I agree.. I've had my car for bout 4 years, took good care of it for a couple years but now it aint really worth it haha. However, I am lookin for a quick cheap fix to all the chips. But till then, carry on.

My car has them too. On the hood, one on the roof and one of the side doors. Hey at least they're not dents. Oh boy now I got to knock on wood lol.

i got 1 dent on the drivers side front panel
i got it from work the first week i got the car, >_<
which sucks since i always park in a corner spot , backed in.
