P5 Wheels on MP3?

2001 Protege MP3
I recently discussed getting new tires to improve the ride on my MP3. I think that, for now, going with some 16"s might give me the balance of ride and handling that I'm looking for. I'm still gonna keep my Racing Harts, but save them for track events.

Its a good deal on the P5 wheels locally and I just wanted to make sure that they will fit w/out problems. Right off of a 2003 P5 w/ the standard tires. Need any special lugs or are the stockers okay? I would assume everything is right as rain, both are 5 lug and the same offset, right? Just wanted to run it by you experts :D

Thanks in advance. I'll post pics when I get them installed.

i thought the mp3 rides extremely nice  guess my opinion is off (note: i did drive a 13 year old Z28 before this with worn ass suspension)

considering its stiff suspension, 17" wheels, and price, the Protege MP3 rides very well. the previous owner replaced the dunlops with a 40-series tire (inexpensive ones at that), and I think that's part of the reason I'm going for 16s. I'm sure a 45-series tire indeed is a better compromise. Also, he scratched up a few places on the lips .... I'd feel real bad if I scuffed 'em up anymore during everday driving. Or worse, bent one of them on a pothole or hard bump!

I'll let you guys know what i think of the 16"s ... I expect that I might actually like the handling/acceleration better ~20k later on, once I get some aggressive tread on there! Every time I've gone with 15"s or 16"s I've just been more pleased than with 17+ inchers. For "the look" tho... can't beat 'em.

Thanks for the quick answers!
