have you ever seen the inside of a MSP?? There's an ass-load of differences between the two. My lack of knowledge about the weight is one thing, but to say a protege ES with turbo is the same as a MSP is downright retarded.

protege ES must be SCC's best handling FWD. The only difference is the turbo right and it has nothing to do with handling. The MSP is in a class with the RX-8 I feel. Interior fit and finish is amazing, handling is stellar, power is great, driveability (the only thing that matters) is to-die-for

P5 is a nice car. If it had come with the MSP engine, trans, suspension, brakes, stereo, interior treatment etc. I would've bought it, but it didn't. Just for comparisons sake (not to flame) there are two P5's in my neighborhood. One is owned by a 40yr old lady at my church. The other is driven by a 50yr old guy who tries to buzz past my house (driveway loaded with hopped up cars) and rev the motor at me. I ran into the 50yr old guy on the street with my slightly modded 1.5L honda civic SEDAN and we had a go of it. Needless to say I'm glad I waited and bought the MSP with turbo. When he drives past my house now there's no revving, no mean stares, and no more attempts to race.

apparently all of the prices you listed are for INSTALLED, FACTORY WARRANTIED pieces right? Also, if this combination is so good and so cheap why didn't MNOA use it as their platform. Also, I'd like to go on record that no'one should ever again mention the price of new MSP as anything over $16K. I've spoken with 2 dealers in texas who are selling these for $16K and nationwide delivery is $500 for 2 days. So lets really compare apples to apples. (I feel like saying Bi-otch)
