P5 Versus ALL

this list is depressing, lets make a list of cars that it looks better than...

the protege wasnt designed as a drag car, it's got the best chasis, excellent steering,suspension...in other words it's a great handling car....and not a 0-60 car!

fwd is a terrible platform for drag racing as most of the weight transfers to the rear wheels while accelerating hard...also being a stock mp5 is around 2800lbs it is no where near light weight

i have an idea...if you're terribly depressed and totally devasted that your protege only does 8.8sec to 60 then sell your protege, get a couple year old mustang and you have a car that will probably do 0-60 in the 6-7 sec range! (drinks)

but i'm sticking to my great handling and peppy protege(p5silver)

Protege5s' are very cute cars, chicks like it at least thats what they say when I tell my ride.

In stock form, they are very fun to drive, eye catchers.

Mine is boosted, so now its even better.

i dont like them, thats all the backing up i need, ive driven and ridden in several, very unimpressed

Their interiors look like s***, I have never seen such a dipressing interior to look at.

Ford has always had crappy interiors. My dad has a F-250 Lariat, and it looks crappy, all these cheap nobs, and s*** placement..

Will ford ever get it right, who know's..

On the out side, they are just getting uglier and uglier too.

The only good looking ford I have seen are the European Fords..

No american car company can make a decent interior, the inside of a viper looks cheap.

I know it's about the ride, but you have to be able to enjoy the car completely. When you get into the car, you want to look at it, and go, this looks good, it's a whole package thing..

so true, even my friends that got stuck with american cars realize all the interiors are crap, my friend has a 95 monte carlo and said every chevy hes ever seen has the same basic crap in it...good thing hes getting a wrx soon

Chrysler makes a good interior...

but we're talking about performance in this thread. If the Mustang had a bench seat it would still kick ass at the track.

The wrx is addicting from a performance stand point, but thought the interior was very cheap looking (aside from the momo wheel).

As far as the chevy interiors go, every single GMC and Chevy truck made in the last 5 years is EXACTLY the same. I was in my friends GMC Yukon XL Denali and we went to test drive an S-10 Xtreme and it was like the color of the hood and the height had changed. Nothing else at all. It was really freaky. But Mazda makes about the only good interiors of any economy cars. Even Toyota and Honda's I really dont like. But Mazdas.... damn. Especially the RX-8. With all them little triangle shapes in th seats and the dash. Maybe a little cheesy, but cool as hell.

its not too too bad, i like the fact that its so quiet inside compared to the p5, plus the seats are really nice

THIS JUST IN:

Beat a '76 " LeCar "

Boy, did he want that parking space badly.... too bad I have better handles and just slid right in

Chrysler, give me a break..

My Neon looks better than a viper does on the interior, except the cloth on the seats..

All american cars are cheap big round buttons and nobs, and the layout is always crap..

I have bent my light switch so many times, the light switch had to be replaced too..

Too bad there are no Puegeots or Renaults in N/A (the new ones), they have the best interiors for their class, Mazda is up there. Toyota is well laid out, but too small, and I am 5'11" and honda has turned to s***.
