How about my turbo kit?
Craig2.jpg

So how much for your kit CH?

And what's included... let's try for a definite, not a "well, i might do this and charge this much... or maybe I could include this.. etc."

I'm working the bugs out of it now. I foudn out the check engine light I was getting was because I dont' have a Catalyst on. I'm shooting for a price of 1900 non-intercooled and 3000 intercooled. The non kit will include alll piping BOV, Turbo internally wastegated, FMU, and everythign else to make a bolt on kit. THe intercooled kit will also be bolt on but I'm thinking that the price might go to 3500 as i might include a additional injector controller adn 2 450cc RC Engineering injectors already in their fitings mated to the charge piping.

hey ch, u should get ur car dynoed before and after u install the intercooler so when u sell the non intercooled version u have a dyno chart to show result. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! GOOD LUCK!

Ch what about exhaust, im guessing that would not be included in the kit. Also I really need to know in all honesty, can the non ic kit be driven safely as a daily driver with no other mods. How safe is it for the engine. I know some about turbos, but i have never dealt with any non intercooled ones. How would the clutch do with the non ic kit. I love the idea of having a turbo for around 2k but I don't want to save money and sacrifice reliability. Thanks

Dustin

Oh and by the way, the turbo looks great.

I'm driving mine daily with the non-intercooled kit on and it does fine been on there for about 2 weeks now. As for exhaust no that won't be offered....I may offer an option to buy a A'PEXi N1 turbo muffler so that you coudl use that with custom piping which wouldn't run that much. The caar runs great though I am having some manifold problems but those shoudl be fixed by end week as I am making a new prototype Header...any offers on the old one? Warning it does crack lol.

I talked to the guy at Tri point engineering and he said that the kit that they are coming out with in a "few months" it will just be a bolt-on. Intrernal turbo, with intercooler for $3500.00. I don't know about you guys but I think that is a little expensive. He said that it is already made, and they are now in the process of making it in bulk, for us the consumer. :D Then I asked him about how they were going to get more fuel to the engine. He told me that they were going to do it two different ways, he didn't specify. My question is if they are making this turbo kit already in bulk for us the consumer :D Then why would you be offering two different ways to get more fuel to the engine? Shouldn't you as a company already decided on one way to do this.

3500 for a intercooled kit is actually pretty good. and besides...you can't skimp on s*** like that...quality = money.

3500 is deffinatly a good price for a turbo kit with an intercooler if it is done well. Look at the F-Max kits for hondas they run 4 grand but they do include additional injectors and the controller tuned to the honda engine....but F-Max in my opinion is one of the best turbo makers around....lets push them to make a kit for our pro's :D

How safe is it to run NOS with a turbo? I have heard that it is risky running that combination together. If it is somewhat safe I will keep my NOS. Is your NOS a wet, or dry shot?

Mine is a dry shot you will have to bump it down quite a bit though mine is actually a 30 shot now as the FI enhances the shot as it is due to the drastic srop in intake temps. N2O can be risky with boost just don't use it alot and you will be fine....only use it mainly as a spool-up not at full throttle...in other words just use it to get your turbo to full boost then let off the N2O.
