are we talking about normal Gps where it tells you where to go and such, if so, thats not a good arguement either, most b/c they are accurate up to 5m at best, so i would say the ONLY way to truley know is to have some clock you with a good radar gun.

a gps is VERY accurate, it uses satelites to get your speed. and yes they tell you where to go and such.

^^^^ Fuckn' Yes Man. The GPS I have goes to +/- 1 Meter (3 Feet ) and the Speedometer is down to a tenth of a Km/h. 99.9Km/H

People, the GPS is probably the most accurate speedometer ever created.

This is my top speed. At 132 I hit a fuel cut off. ITs not the rev limiter because I'm not even close to red line when it hits.

The other night I just kept my foot to the floor and hit this "non existant" fuel cutoff several times. The car would be happy cruising along at 130 then 131 then BAM no power. When the speed drops to 130 it picks up goes 131 then hits 132 and BAM again no power. I did this for about three miles. It even occured going down hill where I was coasting faster than the 132 cutoff but had no power with the pedal all the way to the floor. Then when I slowed to 130 I got power back.

IMO our cars are limited by the computer at 132. We are not drag limited at that speed. Because I'm still accelerating when I hit that cutoff.

Also I have the same effect with different tire sizes.

With my stock Dunlop 195/50/16's and then with my Yokahama AVS ES100 205/45/16's I still hit that cut off at 132 on the speedometer.

I rarely see 130+ speeds and shouldn't see them but knowing that my car has a limited top speed annoys me.

Its my car, Let me go as fast as the car can go. I take responisbility for my actions. I know at those speeds I am guaranteed a free ride to a county bed & breakfast wearing a set of matching bracelets. :)
