P5 handling capabilities

^I don't know if you were refering to my remark about the 325i, but just to clarify, I respect the beemer, but my soon-to-be-brother-in-law doesn't respect the Protege... I just wanted to see what other thought...

For me the P5's handling is not about outright limits, but rather how much feedback the car gives through the chassis and the steering.

Sure there's many cars that will take us through a corner, (i won't even get into the stoplight!) only few will be giving their owners as big of a smile as a P5.

I drove my dad's G35 coupe and the steering didn't feel as communicative as my P5. I was really surprised.

heh, you want numb steering, you shout try the rental Impala I've got for the next 2 months lol. That thing's a joke. It's the damn base model: big, slow, flabby bastard. The only advantage is RWD (which I have to say, is nice), but even then, you can't even break the wheels loose @ a stoplight, that's how "strong" it is. Only way to get some tire squeel is floor it through a turn, cuz it has no lsd so the inside wheel spins lol

haha impala.. sounds like fun.
my springs and shocks are at my house!! i can't wait to get those thiings on!! too bad i'm on the other side of the world right now!! ahh can't wait to get back and put those on
and yeah stock feels real nice. i'd have to say

thread jack- how much can i expect to pay to get them proffessionaly installed?

I think around 50.00 a corner is an average price. I got the spring compressor from autozone & did them myself but that's what I was quoted when I asked around.

lol yeah, impala w/ the bad ass V6 that I'm sure the rental company put a limiter on. SOOOOO SLOOOOW! I think the P5 has a better power to weight than this thing, seriously...

I was quoted a $100 to take off the old springs, and $100 to put on the new. So I just did it in my friends driveway. Got a nice tan too. 4hrs in the sun.

yeah. It's really not that hard if you do all your prep work (aka pb blast all the nuts / endlinks / everything else)

alight i guess i'll have to do that
and where can i get it?
walmart is pretty much my auto store cuz people at advance auto are bitches
