I've just seen too many cars around here (agreed, they are mostly honda's) with what looks like awesome paint when you're far away, but when you get close enough, it just looks like ass.

You know, that picture brings up something I laugh about in the original. . .

. . .the stereo system. Most of the sub boxes I have made weigh a ton. Then you incorporate amps, trim panels and sound dampening which all leads to one thing: a really overweight car. . .

. . .I like the inclusion of car audio into the movie, but any car that is bumpin' 4 15s is not going to be quick off the line. I find it hard to believe that Vin Diesel and his Alpine system (2 12"s, it was alpine right? i forget its been a while) setup would be winning every race with a fully decked out trunk. Thats like asking your 250lb friend to ride shotgun at the drag strip. C'mon.

No Altezzas? I thought that it was written down somewhere that...

1.) All Cars MUST have Altezzas, or "Euro Lens" or any other tail light mod

and
2.) A whole lot of car lingo bundled together that doesn't make sense at all. IE "Blow the welds off your intake manifold..."

The blue maxima in the first movie was a Stillen pimp with supercharger and the works. A normal MAx of that year weighed about 3600 pounds. The MAx in that movie had a curb weight of over 4200 pounds as I recall. It did right around 14sec 1/4.

The stereo was outrageous with screens in the seat backs and amps everywhere. Strip that stuff and it would have been 12 sec or quicker car.

My 97 with automatic did around 16. By the time I sold it I was doing 13.9 naturally aspirated. Horsepower started at 140 at the ground and ended at 178.

If I am not mistaken, That car is from the Orlando area and I have seen it twice in person (Sonic and HIN). I agree with the people who think the car is ugly. I think it is way overdone and has not much streetability to it. Also, last time I saw the car it had very little in the performance departement. So, in conclusion, this car is neither fast or furious!

Yes , I remember seeing that one also at HIN. Its way over the top and has no real power to back up its image. Just a show car really.
