P0715 and P0766, AT light staying on. How should I proceed?

Hey guys, this is either my first or second post here, though I've been a member and thread watcher for a couple months. Back at the end of January I picked up a 06 3S ATX with 54,000 miles from a local honda dealer.
The car was sold with a 3000 mile warranty that just ended about 500 miles ago. But, I've run into a problem. Yesterday while driving normally on the freeway, the car suddenly clunked and kicked down to third gear.
The CEL came on and the AT light came on. I pulled over and restarted the car and the AT light went off. I got back on the road and the car was driving normally again. Suddenly today as I was again driving on the freeway,
the AT light came back on, only this time was NOT accompanied by a subsequent kick down to 3rd and a CEL. Now the AT light is staying on even after restarting it. I went to my local O'Reillys and pulled the CEL codes and it gave me
a P0715 and said Input/Output Shaft Speed Sensor and a P0766 and said Shift Solenoid D peformance or off. Being as I have only owned the car a couple months and have only 3500 miles of my own driving on it, I am pretty pissed.

Another thing that just started to happen today is that when in park, whether Engine on or off, when pressing the brake, a clickng sound can be heard and felt in the shifter assembly. Any other gear selection this doesn't happen.

The car is seemingly driving normal for now, despite the AT light staying on. Has anybody else encountered this issue or would be able to suggest how I should proceed?

you need to get the code read...autozone will do that if you don't have access to a reader

Is the powertrain warranty transferable? As i am not the original owner. And I already had the engine codes read at oreillys, I said that in my post. The readers at all the local parts stores aren't capable of pulling the transmission codes and the closest autozone is actually about 45 minute drive away.

sorry missed that....you should call mazda about the warrenty...here's what i found:
p0715 - This error is from the "transmission module", it usually points to a bad speed sensor. The Mazda 3 has a speed sensor in the rear of the transmission, it is located under the battery box, near the ground in the lower part of the tranny near the firewall
(attached with one bolt and a plugin/harness, super easy). Also could be a "pulse sensor" and is located on the top of the tranny.
p0766 - could be
Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Faulty shift solenoid D valve
- Shift solenoid D valve harness or connectors
- Shift solenoid D valve circuit is open or shorted

sorry i could be more help

Thanks a lot man, ill take a good look over the tranny when i get home from work. I'll recheck the the fluid and see how it looks.

Checked the tranny fluid. It's full, but its black as night and smells really burnt. I think next weekend ill be taking it to my local Mazda dealer to figure out what's up. Shifts are starting to get harder and harder. :(:(:(:(...

This just really got to me so I apologize in advance. Amazing and I see it time and time again as a reader here on these forums. People come on here in desperate need of help and expect fellow members to reply within X amount of time frame to help them solve their issue. Of course once they get the issue sorted out and fixed they don't have the decency to at least come back and UPDATE the thread in order to help others who end up in the same situation they WERE in. To the OP at least have the manners to update the thread to give back to the community for at least TRYING to help you solve your issue. People like you shouldn't be able to even use the internet as a resource since its clear you're just selfish and care about your needs only.
