My wife's 2010 Mazda 5 has recently triggered the P0600 CEL. It has come on two times in the last two months. I've cleared it it with a PBD scanner, but would like to address the culprit. Anyone other owners/members experienced this? Any pointers on what to look for/troubleshoot?

You didn't mention how the vehicle is running, so I'll ask that question.

The first and easiest diagnostic is to check the static and running voltage at the battery, and have the battery and alternator tested at a parts store. But aside from that simple stuff, trying to diagnose this code is likely to be a RPITA. Removing and checking connectors for damage/corrosion, associated near wiring, and grounds would be the next items to check.

Thanks, edmaz. Car is running smoothly. I was afraid that this CEL may be a challenge to narrow down. Battery is about a month old so I would think it isn't that. I have a battery and alternator tester at home so I'll hook that up soon and see if there's anything there.
