P.G. Intake *caution big pics*

So after much waiting and reading countless threads, I finally got an intake for my car...

It's the intake Ken @ P.G. just came out with and it's a nice looking piece. I'm waiting for a few more things to come in to install it. I just wanted to see if anyone else on the forum has one and their thoughts on it. I have searched and have not found much of anything on this intake...

It's also unique how it only has two vertical air straighteners instead of the design found in the Cobb and CP-e intakes. I'm sure it all works the same in the end though.

I'm also curious if any of those more knowledgeable with welding could tell me what that crusty looking stuff is on the inside around the return pipe (right past the MAF)

Sorry the pictures are HUGE. my phone doesn't want to take anything smaller then that...

I hope you enjoy the intake.

Also, off topic, but I used to have the same problem with huge pictures. I downloaded a program called XnView that was free and easy to use to resize and crop pictures.

I just put one of these on and after 50ish miles I haven't found any problems or noticed anything out of the ordinary. The sound is fantastic!! I'm pretty happy with it. It's doing exactly what I got it to do...what more could you ask

J-villa,
Have I met you at any of the local meets yet?

Not yet. I'm trying to make it out to some local meets, But I need more info on when there are meets and where they are.

And the intake is a nice piece, but I'm having some difficulties getting it installed.... Hopefully a full installed picture is next, but I need new clamps, and I need to figure out how to get that 90* elbow onto the intake.

And i got photoshop and know how to re-size images, I'm just lazy.... so there!

Just use Photobucket instead of Image Shack. Photobucket resizes them as you upload them. Viola! Lazy man's dream. And I should know- I am one lazy mofo.

Nice lookin' intake, by the way.

Image shack resizes also. It woulda taken me two extra clicks. But i didn't notice how big they where until I posted them. so there(butt)

j-villa, email sent. also, will have the test car here tomorrow so i can snap a few shots and send them over to you

J-Villa do you have a dashhawk? Monitor the LTFT to see what it is after a few hundred miles. I am curious how this works.

Or Captain for that matter have you compared the LTFT to stock?
