Mazda 3 2007
I own a Mazda 3 2007 with 64k miles on it. I had its 60k servicing done on time. I have owned it for the past 8 months (from about 59k miles onwards).

Recently, the check engine light came on and I took it to a local mechanic to get the code checked out. The code was P0113 as in the title.

However, the mechanic tried to figure out what the problem was and fiddled with the IAT sensor plug. This lead to the engine shutting down. He said he will look into whether or not it was the plug or the sensor that was troublesome and whether a new sensor could be replaced (I think in the Mazda the MAF and IAT sensors are in one piece).

Today, he told me that he tried replacing the wires and the sensor and they both didn't resolve the problem. What's worse, after taking it to the mechanic, the TCS/DSC lights are also constantly on and now the car stalls every time the engine revs down to below 1000 rpm. This was not the case (clearly!) when I drove it to him where the car seemed perfectly fine.

I'm taking it to a Mazda dealer real soon but I was wondering if this forum could give me any information that might be useful.
